My knowledge on humics is poor. The thread below helped. So here's a couple more questions.

Could we use dry leonardite, banded below the row with a strip-till machine? Instead of dry fertilizer? How much per A?

What alternatives to foliar fungicide are you guys using? I'd love to ditch fungicide. We see a pretty consistent return in corn, so we keep using it. We gave it up in soybeans because we were fighting green stems so bad. Now we don't have green stems but we're stuck with stagnant soybean yields.

I'd really like to be able to apply a probiotic foliar that gets a profitable return, rather than a fungicide that sets us back.

Yes you could use a dry extracted humate below the seed with great results. Key is extracted ( meaning it would melt into surrounding soil so it can free up nutrients)

And yes there is a product called LeafSaver that was in a Bayer research trial this past year. Not a fungicide. $10 per acre cost. Beat delaro complete by 6 bu for a $36/ acre advantage

This product also can prevent white mold from sticking to a plant and keep airborn diseases at bay. Call me for information

How was the leafsaver applied and at what stage?
