Michigan | I think you have the wrong idea. If I plant my soybeans the end of April here in Michigan which rarely can happen they have potential to yield 70 bu. With poor weather and wet conditions we usually get pushed into the end of May and yields then rarely go over 50 and 40-45 is normal. If they were in the ground ready to go regardless of whether the ground was fit to work they would use the full growing season and yield better than planting late. For prime Iowa land this may never be the case but in marginal or northern areas it could be revolutionary. | |
