![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=11999&type=profile&rnd=943) SESD | Just pulled my 2000 freightliner classic in the shop to work on the front springs. Also have a 2001 same truck. The 2000 rides like a lumber wagon compared to the other one. The rear axle leafs are heavier on the 2000. The front axle also had more leafs in them. 2001 has two full length 5/8" leafs. 2000 has nine 1/2" leafs, 2 full length, the rest get shorter. I just removed 4 leafs out of those sets tonight. From the top, I left the 1, 2, 4, 8, and 9 leafs. The 8 and 9 were fairly short, so mainly put in for spacing. Hopefully that will help a ton for ride quality. It did lower the frame height to the ground by about 3", but most everything measures close to the same as the other one.
