my daughter took abuse from other players this last year and decided not to go out this next year. this lady was ready to really work hard during the off season until the night before the sectional opener in practice her (was) best friend "coach appointed go to player on the team" she overheard her saying it would sure be nice if our point guard could get the ball down the floor, that was the deal breaker. coach pointed out during the season my daughter was the only one that could handle the ball with confidence. HELLO, BASKETBALL IS A TEAM SPORT,
rather than talking to the coach during the season I e-mailed him to let him know of the goings on early, this was a friendly not in your face e-mail. no resolve came about. needless to say he was shocked to hear from her not coming out next year at the exit interview. she was the starting point guard. we're not too worried. as the saying goes EVERYONE IS REPLACEABLE.
ya know individual sports go along way, along with good coaching. | |
