Subject: Grain dryer efficiency.

Morris, IL
Drying 150k+ a year, I’m a believer that wet harvest is worth it we start 25% try finish before under 18%. Knowing this I’m comparing dryers to do 600 an hour at 25% full heat. What sort of difference would see between a 20 year old farm fans vs say 10 year old Brock superb in LP usage? Does a dryer that can vacuum cool really save enough to be worth it, seems it takes at least 1.5x size running 1.5x electric bill before even buy LP.

I’m sort of thinking taking money saved put in LP tank probably can cut cost by 1/3 by doing that and it’s a known savings.
