North Carolina | I have been posting last couple of days on 2x2 on corn, it's got me thinking. Our soybean yields have been crap last couple years. We general broad cast and no till 15" rows. If I set up fertilize on 30" corn, I might run some 30" soybeans and put P and K 2x2x2. Do you think more efficient fertilizer placement would make up the difference in wider row reduction over 15s. We are in a low yield environment. Heavy red clay with a hi iron content. We just need to do something to break out of the 30bpa range. I talked to 2 of the best farmers in our area and heard the same thing High 20s to High 30s. We did have very dry year, but we got to do something outside the box to make a change. What do you think?
