Northeast, Nebraska | You have a lot of great info there. I am not seeing anywhere what your farm program is so can you answer a few questions for me? Is it notill or tillage, cover crops, do you use any other biologicals in your program, do you use fungicide every year? The reason I ask is your bacteria to fungi ratio is quite low. I know it says it is average, but according to the guy I'm working with, we want to get it as close to 50/50 as we can. I'm not saying mine is any better than yours, I too have had low ratios. As I am working to improve that, my nutrient levels have been improving as well. He has a guy at .46 ratio and he has no need for fertilizer when soil sampling, doesn't fight any disease at all in his fields either. He basically is just letting his soil naturally do the work. He did it by applying microbes and carbon. Took a few years. I think you would see a bigger response getting a mycorrhizal product out there. | |
