yes, couldn't make calls, got a couple out, very few texts went through, had to keep them very short.
Couldn't pull up any news coverage - I sent short texts to my wife asking about what she was seeing - they used that to try to prove I was relaying info.  
I realize there were nearly a million others trying to use their phones which is always a problem. but there were several large mobile cell towers brought in ( at least we assumed that was their use) kinda wonder now.
