I still remember reading a series of reports of a woman that fell through river ice while out for a walk. They sent divers down over the course of a few days but couldn’t find her. They finally found her in the spring snagged on a fallen tree several miles downstream from where she fell in. Those reports of that tragedy creep me out to this day.
Is it worth taking a chance?
