NWMO | Since you said close to home... We have tried it all... Portable storage setup for large location that would hold a transport load, to a single axle van with 3000 gallons, and a Pickup and 1300 gallons... Depending on field sizes? But If you have someone to tender ya... Prefer the Pickup and one batch at a time method... Have 5 3250 upright storage at main home place for 10-34-0, 32-0-0 & ATS... So can adjust ratio in batches from load to load if wanted and is easier to get mix close enough in the smaller portable trailer... Also seems there is always something extra needed that can be brought with next batch (parts, food, ect) Most of are fields 1-3 loads catches that field so have to have help anyway to move to next... That where larger transports end up making more work and time wasted for us... Say you finish and move but don't have enough to complete the next field... Then you have to load larger tender and make double moves... Also with a Semi and trailer you have no Pickup in field without extra trip... Easy to drop small tender off and make a run with pickup somewhere in between loads ect... Lots of different ways will work great, just giving some food for thought... | |
