I had same problem about 5 years ago and vet said need to start checking yearling heifers for neosporan. A parasite in any canine species that if they dedicate on their feed and it gets mixed in with cow feed it causes more open ones. Simple blood test and at least you will know. Only way to control it is not breeding the infected heifers and if remaining cows don’t get reinfected you have it whipped. Causes late term abortion and they won’t breed back.
