Yes, I did in my 1560. Make sure to clean the mating surface really good (I used alcohol wipes) and then then silicone around it.

It makes planting alfalfa so much easier. Before I installed, there would be 50# of seed left in the hopper when the seed cups went dry. After installation, almost every pound of seed finds its way into the cups. I don't know why JD doesn't make it like that from the factory.
