I was always told how bad the Freightliner dashes were.. Then I drove a friends KW and rode with some Peterbuillt guys. I think a lot of the less rattles and broken dash is the guys keep them tight and take care of them.
MY FLD's never had dash trouble. When I worked on them, I carefully took things apart and when I put it back together I did it with a screwdriver or hand tools.
All the trucks have plastic dashes now I think.
