central kansas reno county | We have been planting wheat and oats and grazing them out and going to grass fully late. Drought just kicks our butt lately. We went to grass late in 24 June ish and in August we fenced in some alfalfa and brought everything home from grass and turned them out on that. Works but gotta be careful. It had been cut and had about 2 inches of regrowth. Caught a rain and started really growing again. Actually lost 2 cows cause of bloat. So gotta pay a bit more attention. |
