Your an idiot if you don't have one. Ive got a few of them, and they're almost invaluable for hearing protection. They bring a shot down to safe hearing level without protection. I can tell you when I use to shoot and ar without a can my ears would ring for an hour. And no you don't always have time to throw on hearing protection or thats your last thought when you see something running.

Edit to add, Once you lose your hearing theres no going back. Will gladly spend a thousand to keep my hearing as long as I can.



And you, sir, are a jackass for saying that about anyone different than you. Do you rail on your neighbors that farm differently than you? Not everyone wishes to pay the registration fee, have them on ATF record, or pay for the thing itself. Some of mine are threaded, some are not, and I wouldn't thread the ones that aren't.
I have never had a suppressor on any of my rifles or handguns. I don't think I'm an idiot, nor is anyone else that doesn't have on or more.
I wear hearing protection when target shooting.
