It has been quite a while since I ran my TL...........but I think mine ran at 17 to 1800 PSI when operating correctly. When a tower quit moving it would go into bypass and you could hear the oil moving quickly through the lines. Usually it was down around 500 PSI then, so the entire machine quit moving. Mine didn't have a Murphy switch on the pressure Guage.........so it'd keep running the hydraulic pump.


Ah! So the bypass path must have a larger orifice inside the spool valve than the path to the motors. Interesting. Thank you for pointing out that a Murphy switch is not needed. I was thinking if it was it would be a possible weak point in the design, but it appears they thought of that.
