Subject: RE: GPS tracker for employee's vehicle

coast of Maine
Technically by IRS rules, any miles an employee uses the company vehicle for personal use is supposed to show up on a 1099 as income. The total cost which is 55 cents or so a mile by IRS rules(it changes so check). This alone when using a tracker would discourage any personal use.The rules actually say you cannot give "free" coffee to your employees,,needs to be claimed as benefit,,,so there is that,,take it for what its worth,, but you can sell it to them for a penny,,,and it doesnt count,,,last I knew,,what a way to run the country,,,
