![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=2222&type=profile&rnd=163) Southeast Colorado | It has been quite a while since I ran my TL...........but I think mine ran at 17 to 1800 PSI when operating correctly. When a tower quit moving it would go into bypass and you could hear the oil moving quickly through the lines. Usually it was down around 500 PSI then, so the entire machine quit moving. Mine didn't have a Murphy switch on the pressure Guage.........so it'd keep running the hydraulic pump.
I know those machines get a lot of grief on here...........but I got along pretty good with mine. The only thing bad for me was that when I wasn't using it, if the wind blew hard the towers would roll forward some. That's why I got pretty well versed with the towers being in bypass. It finally ended up being the death of it when it took off rolling a bunch and then collapsed from the side pull. I think the newer ones were designed with a brake to stop that from happening. Mine was new in 1995 and lasted barely over 20 years.
