Embarrass WI | When I had a reman engine installed in my 9500 combine, the service manager made a point to stress to me to NOT drain the break-in oil out too soon. JD sells special break-in oil and if that was replaced with regular oil he said that there might not be friction enough to seat the rings properly.
I think Schaeffers is better oil, whether it's worth the extra money is up to you. If you do the oil samples and extend drain intervals you can get the value. If you change regularly based on miles or hours, probably then "oil is oil". | |
