It doesn't get that cold here, but every one I've ever seen that was in decent shape, fired off immediately under compression with fuel. Compared to IH's 450 and 560 diesels, Deere was way ahead in starting, durability, and fuel economy. A friend of mine grew up running a 70 diesel, and said they ran the hour meter back to zero TWICE, and never had the head off the engine. | |
