| I think you're in a good spot still, probably just had a tough year with several larger things at once. I'm not sure if leasing would actually work out cheaper, maybe if it was one piece of equipment that caused you all the grief. You can't lease everything for cheaper than that.
I cover about 1400 acres with 10-20 year old equipment and do my own repairs. I usually pencil $42 an acre in the budget at the beginning of the year for repair and maintenance. The past few I've ended up between 30-35. | |
