Glad you found it. When my cat is in the garage at home I have always left the fob in it so I am not looking for it every time my wife or I going out. Does doing that harm anything? Been doing it for 5 years. Have replaced that fob battery once.
FWIW My Lexus/Toyota FOB can be switched off so that no thief can capture the signal and steal the vehicle.
All one has to do is....Hold Down the Lock Button while clicking twice on the unlock button, the FOB will blink 4 times.
No signal is emitted by the FOB.
To re-activate it all one has to do is click on any button.
There should be a similar procedure for all FOBs, but not every one at the dealer may know about it! |
