NE ND | I have this JD Ztrak with a v-twin kawi. This year was its 2nd summer. This summer it developed what I’d call a spit and sputter. It starts perfect and has great power. If you are in the seat and driving it you really don’t notice it. But when the kid is zipping across the yard cutting every guy standing by the shop is like that thing isn’t running right. Best description is it just spits and sputters as it’s going.
I call local tech at jd dealer just for opinions before I dive into it. He goes,” It’s bad gas. Put in non ethanol from town and your problems will go away”.
I’m skeptical of that as it ran fine before. I put a spark tester on each plug wire when running and spark was blue and very consistent.
I’m thinking junk in carb? Thoughts? Has 1000 hrs.
