Back in the late 70s early 80s the banker would borrow you money as long as your body was still warm. About same going on today. We know how that turned out. Change the rules on 1031 so it has to be EXACT like kind and things would change. Selling 40acres for houses and then buying half section farmland with 1031. Change that to 40 acres for house to 40 acres for farming- NO To me that the first 40 acres was for commercial use so next has to be for commercial use. | |
