Buying cheap seed that may or may not be suited for your area is risky. I’d dip my toes in the water by buying a few bags for this year and evaluate the performance, then proceed accordingly for next year. If 68-35 is the top dog in your area try a few bags of it along side Epleys or whatever you get and see what happens.
You mention cheap seed like it’s a derogatory term! I can tell you that price doesn’t mean cheap genetics. In fact I will come to your farm with free seed to do a side by side. I’m confident in my genetics that you can put it up against anything you choose. |
