Neighbors been buying purebred black Angus bulls from the state tested bull sale for years, the last two years he's had a couple calves with horns, where did they come from ?

We always bred a few Holsteins to Angus, 30 years ago started getting white bellies and switches, I asked the inseminator where the devil did that come from? He replied well, some of the Angus breeders chasing weaning weights will throw a Holstein in now and then to boost milk production. Not sure if it is true, but it would also be away to get an Angus with horns if it happens often enough.
