Subject: RE: Article from Minnesota

Ohio
If I had to guess, reality hit them when they figured out all of the regulations/tape/bs in the way of making progress.

I had a thought the other night. Why can’t schools source their food from local business? Or from whomever they wanted? Pretty sure that’s not how it works now but that right there would prop up the local economy.

Another pet peave of mine is why county roads with 2 people traveling it per day need to be paved. Do I have any data showing that stone roads are cheaper to maintain then a paved road? No but I bet they are. Probably can’t have stone roads because of liability.

Why are fire trucks so expensive? Because they have to work when you need them? Why not just have multiple older units that are well maintained and save big bucks(minus extra maintenance).?

My county just spent big bucks to restore a historical bridge a few years back. They just closed it last year to all motor traffic. Why did we waste all of that money when we could have just had the local paint business give it a fresh coat if they were just going to close it? They tore the whole thing down, every nut and bolt to restore it. I doubt it was cheap
