My opinion is it’s a 700# calf with 450# frame.
Over fat which will cause problems down the line.
It’s not if she’s fat it’s how she got fat, VFA’s matter. Pelvis size directly correlates to growth rate so you don’t want to hold them back, but you also don’t want a starch diet which will mess up udder development. You also don’t want a bunch of extra fat on them when they calve. |
