ECIL | As much as those 33 counties want to go to another state, the reality is IL is in such desperate need of tax revenue and will not allow even one township to secede to another state. However the legislature does not know or understand how to live within their means, some of which is due to the state constitution. Excepting for a small part of the population, the best thing would be for Chicagoland to move 70 miles northeast. It would put them in the middle of Lake Michigan. | |
