East Central Nebraska | Got to travel there as part of my college class. I was in the General Motors program and trip paid by them. So in 1992, about 10 of us got to travel to Michigan to see the GM factories. Part of the travel was an afternoon in Frankenmuth. I thought it was a pretty cool town and want to go back. One memory from there is we ate at the Bavarian inn. I'm not sure who the GM guy taking us around, but he had some clout. At the place we ate, he ordered up some beers. I was 19 along with about 6 others underage. Waitress asked for some ID and he spoke up and said, I'm so and so, please bring us some pitchers. She said yes sir and delivered us some beer. Bet that don't happen anymore. But one of my memories from there. | |
