| Every once in a while during a discussion of nitrogen rates someone suggests the value of a 0 lbs applied test. I took this screenshot of a yield map where I accidentally didn't get the normal 165#of sidedress nitrogen to an area in a field. I don't know exactly the right amount of in season N to put on our fields, but its not 0.
Corn had 25# of N applied 2x0 at planting. 165# of N applied as Annhydrous Ammonia to the rest of the field.
