West Central Iowa | We have done a bunch of the 8000 series transmissions with nothing more than some heavy duty jack stands to support the front and back of the tractor and a pretty well built A frame gantry. We use the gantry to roll the front frame forward with the transmission attached and then remove the transmission from the front frame. We have never seen the need for any special tools to get the transmission out and on the ground.
There are a few special tools that are needed if you are going to get into the transmission.
