SE SD | almost every Morning, before sunrise, I drive to our other farm. Midway is an acreage with a pair of , I believe to be Great Pureness. These dogs are often out on the road. In the summer they will be lying in the roadway. I know they live there, so generally I slow down. One of these days I'm afraid when they charge from the drive way or are masked by snow or fog, there will be a bad outcome. Not only for the dog, but these behemoths could do some serious damage to a car. from what I know of the couple that own the dogs, It would get ugly.
Now the question. Do I approach the owners and voice my concern? but this would also put them on notice that I am aware of the dogs and if a collision were to occur I would hold some responsibility? Do I contact (anonymously) the sheriff or local humane society? (I do not want to be a Karen or Ken).
Or do nothing......let sleeping dogs lie.......so to speak :)
