central - east central Minnesota - | provident - 1/14/2025 21:43 what if they mark a line (like phone) before tiling but it is shallow, like 12" well within tillage depth and above tile depth. are you responsible for breaking a line that really should be 3-4 feet deep if you need to tile there? locators wont say how deep a line is.
Here, in MN - Yes, you need to Pot Hole the locate to find the utility. So, if you hit it at what ever depth and it was marked properly, you pay . . . . Always, alway keep the reference number of the call in locate and take pic's of the markings and flags. I always ask for heavy paint and heavy flags. Take pics of their locates ! ! ! |
