WC MN | The OSU results are consistent with what we saw on our farm in 2024. We alternated passes with a Fendt Momentum and our PP equipped planter over 50 acres, essentially we had 14 side by side comparisons to harvest.
Both were 24 x 30 high speed planters equipped with Delta Force, Clean Sweep and in furrow starter fertilizer. Planting speed was 9 mph with both planters.
The Fendt Momentum had a 3.9% yield increase. Like the OSU study that is not technically a statistical difference, however, it is a significant financial difference. The OSU study showed a 9 bpa yield advantage. 9 x $4.50 = $40.50 per acre more revenue.
