Southeast Colorado | I don't think Darnold is all that great. But you have to admit he was pretty jittery after the way the last 2 games have played out. He's been under constant pressure. None of the QBs are any good when they are getting beat up.
That is actually what made Elway great. He was beaten up his first 8 to 10 years in the league and always having to run for his life. Then in the last few years he played they finally spent some money on an offensive line and protected him and he shined. I guess the Broncos had so much invested in him that they couldn't give up in the early years. Also it was just a different time in the NFL and not so much the instant gratification mindset of today. | |
