Roseglen, North Dakota
I guess I'll be the odd man out and don't even mention the word bushels.
1. Will depend on the type of crops augered.
2. How in the world do you know the farmer or the dealer even KNOWS the bushels? They don't have a bushel meter on them.
Guessing we have bought 20 used augers over the years from 10 x 70 to 16 x 125 and haven't been sorry yet. Most for less than half of new.

The first thing I do (whether it's 1 year or 20 years old) is walk up to the bottom of the big tube, take cover off and look at the fighting.
If it's thick it's got lots of life.
If it's thin but full diameter you can easily replace the bottom 3-4 feet and go a long time yet.
If it's ridiculously thin and worn to half diameter I'd walk away.
I have never understood the phobia about used augers. An auger is a tube, a screw, and some bearings.
If it's 15 years old with thick original fighting I wdnt be afraid of it.
