| We put Central vac in a new house 23 years ago and never regretted it. My wife ,like yours,has allergies and we put the unit in the unfinished basement but plumbed the exhaust outside to limit the dust exposure. It is been a very good decision and would do it again in a heartbeat. I have never seen a situation where the suction will not pull the dirt through the hose. It is an easy Flow with a sebo powerhead. First thing I ever had to do with it was to replace the hose this year after 23 years of use.
We have the toe kick under the kitchen cabinets which is a great feature.
