NE ND | I just bought one half the other day. Yes, a joke for $200+. That is a pretty common size idler. I wonder if a guy bought a regular one with both flanges I'm sure for well under $100 anyone with a lathe could cut that flange off in 10 minutes.
There can be lots of power on that drive. I just don't think bolts will cut it. Somedays you just have to take the beating.
On another note, I don't run those chopper shields anymore. My brother had one of those idler bearings fail and when they went to pull the shields off all the chaff behind them was on fire. He figured it wouldn't have been much longer and he'd be buying a different combine. | |
