Subject: RE: Parity Pricing

10 miles South of Valparaiso Indiana
I never said that the Parity Law is in use right now. I said its a law that no one is enforcing. Also if you read my post I said if anyone wanted to call Alan in regards to inputs and such I would be more than willing to give them his number. The Fertilizer price is 90% of Parity. We receive 27%of Parity on Corn. Fertilizer,Seed, and all other farm inputs can only be at 100% of Parity. For instance if Potash is $400 per ton and I said it was 90% in a previous sentence, then that means Potash can only go to 440 per ton. And the 100% price of corn is $14.00. Now your saying well that's price controls, no it is not. The government only protects the equation used to figure what the prices should be because congress signed it into law. In regard to cash rent nothing will go up in price faster than the crops grown. If you can pay now with 27% of your pay you will be fine with 90%. We have already done it back in 1942-1952. It will be fine.
