I've got the Shoup notched which are reversed with the concave going inward as opposed to the ones going outward like the smooth disks. Good: they will close up very well in even the worst no till conditions. Bad: if you have any small rocks they will wedge between and plug the row. I usually get at one caught every year. The other thing is in our heavy no till ground I've noticed the notched disks show a lot more wear. I'm considering trying Martin Razor closers as my Shoup notched wear out. |
