Faunsdale, AL | Check the main beam of the axles for a crown. Some of the light duty axles have a crown bent in it so it’ll have some room to flex under load without the tires splaying out.
If you don’t find that, use a level, tape measure and some strings, 2x4 with a couple c clamps etc to check if the spindles have any toe-in or camber welded into them.
If there’s toe but not camber, you could flip the axle but then swap ends so the front is still the front and get the toe back.
If there’s positive camber (top is wider than bottom of rim) then unless you’re going to cut and extend the center section, I don’t think I would flip them.
I don’t see any reason the axle wouldn’t be as strong if you flipped it, it’s just a question of wheel alignment.
