| Last summer my daughter and I went thru Menomonee so stopped for a sandwich in a bar across from the collage, finished eating service was OK, food was a solid 6.5 out of 10 for quality and quantity, server brought bill in fancy little black folder, I put a bill in it, server took it and brought back the paper change, no coins, they just kept it. I usually tip about 20% or more if the bill is not big so had the tip laying there, I saw that and took a dollar off the tip pile and walked out. Happened again in October, met 2 daughters at school went out for lunch, same scenario but better food, same thing happened. Is this somehow now OK and generally an approved practice? I believe in both cases if the change one had rounded to the nearest dollar the bill should have went down not up. | |
