Madison Co. Virginia | I've always liked the look of those red-tile silos(#9 and #10). There's a few around here. I'm told there's a groove in the top of each tile block, where you would lay the reinforcing hoop before grouting over it and stacking on the next layer of tile. I wonder how much risk there was of silage juices seeping into that grout cavity and corroding the reinforcement ring.
Those concrete dome roofs(#11) must have been challenging to execute!
