Subject: RE: no salt water used to fight fires

West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12
I wouldn't buy a jet ski that's been run for more than a year in saltwater on a bet.

I live in MN where the roads are currently covered in salt/brine and so are all the vehicles. I'm very familiar what road salt and brine does to vehicles and next years vegetation...a county tyruck rolled over into a field of mine and nothing grew in the spot for two years...I can still tell where the truck rolled.

I'm also very familiar with building saltwater intrusion, what saltwater does to a boat, and what it takes to maintain a saltwater boat to make it last more than 10 years.

The neighbor across the canal AC unit never ran again...it only took me a day and all new electrical to get the dock lights, outlets, and boat lift working on our dock...sure am glad we never got saltwater in the house like the neighbors did...the houses are never the same.

ETA...I should also add that I know for a fact that some plants never come back after a good dose of salt water.
