Back in the 70's I was in California about 6 months after the big quake.  Whole city blocks on one side were destroyed. I remember an overpass that was gone and they built a road that went down, across the other street and back up.  I was amazed at how fast they rebuilt everything.

Different country then with different leadership.

It will be interesting to see how this goes.

I will always remember the enjoyment I had horseback riding in the Hansen dam area.  There was a stable you could rent a horse and those who did were always wondering where I got the horse I was riding.  It belonged to a person I was staying with and it was both spirited and fast.
