I agree, follow the money!
"Funny" thing about the taxes from people buying weed and related items, here in IL. The county gets some of the taxes back, from the weed that's sold in the county, but we don't know exactly how much. The way the law(s) were written in IL, we can't discuss the specific amount of tax dollars, as county board members.
