Reading all the posts on high speeds in these trucks, all I can say is they must have been balanced better than yea old dump trucks I drove.
I had the privilege riding lately in a new dump truck, really I don't know what exactly it was, all I know it was so fast with a 500 horse motor. It handled 25 Ton like it was nothing compared to my rig in the past, a 6V53 Detroit 2 cycle, with a 5 and a 4 , Tri Axle. Did worry about stopping ability, was it that much better for the speed it could go. | |
