Money from Taxes!
Bingo, once it became legal here, local city (about 7K pop) approved 6 dispensaries and 10+ grow facilities, couldn't hardly wait to 'spend the money' they were going to get.
Now, they are trying to get the Jenie back into the bottle, seems grow facilities stink (almost as bad as when you're cleaning/spreading a chicken or hog barn IMHO). But the city folks that have to smell this odor are up in arms. Hog/chicken manure smell goes away fairly quickly, this doesn't it lasts for weeks and weeks. Worst part is they let the first grow operations build/start close to residential areas (one is rather upscale even).
For last laugh, seems too much production, created a glut of product and price dropped ~75-80%, hence tax revenue did the same. | |
