E.Central MN | We had too much water and a drought in the same season and our yields were lower because of it. Fortunately, crop insurance provided the protection that it promised. Farm income going forward certainly doesn't look rosy. But compared to the people who were devastated by hurricanes and the people who have lost everything to wildfires, most of us could tighten our belts and go forward without the proposed Farm program payments. I think our input suppliers will breathe a bigger sigh of relief than we will if we get a Farm program payment. | |
